Wake before sunrise for one of the most productive birdwatching sessions of the entire expedition.

Morning bird activity around Cimahi is exceptional, particularly for endemic forest birds. After breakfast, continue exploring nearby trails while listening for the calls of elusive rainforest species hidden within the dense canopy.

Late in the morning, trek back to Legon Pakis, where lunch will be served before continuing to the nearby savanna ecosystem.

The open habitat contrasts beautifully with the surrounding rainforest and attracts a different community of birds, including:

Known for its crystal-clear sea, white sandy beaches, coral reefs, and resident wildlife, Peucang Island provides an ideal combination of birdwatching and relaxation.

After checking into Fauna Lodge, enjoy free time exploring the island or photographing deer, macaques, monitor lizards, and tropical scenery around the lodge.

During the late afternoon, continue by boat to Cidaon Grazing Ground, one of the park’s premier wildlife observation sites.

Following lunch, board the boat back to Carita while carefully scanning the surrounding waters for seabirds.
